Europese programma's

Stichting CINOP serves as the National Support Service (NSS) for EPALE (European Platform for Adult Learning Europe) in the Netherlands. CINOP is a non-profit organisation that carries out research, provides advice and offers implementation support for complex issues at the intersection of policy, education and the labour market. Our mission is to ensure that everyone is able to participate in society to the fullest possible extent.

‘It’s a luxury, a privilege and very special, being able to come together for a study visit and talk to each other about adult education. At CINOP, we look at adult education from a holistic perspective. We see it as a whole, with formal, non-formal and informal learning coming together to create a meaningful development process.’

Robbert Koldenhof, Managing Director of CINOP

European programmes

CINOP’s activities are related to the following themes: formal and non-formal learning and development, lifelong development and equal opportunities for all. In addition to the wide variety of projects it carries out in the Netherlands, it also handles programme management for several European programmes and projects. In doing so, it helps promote international mobility and European learning opportunities for students, adults and professionals.

Besides EPALE, CINOP is responsible for the implementation of the following European programmes and instruments:

  • NLQF – the Dutch Qualifications Framework (NLQF) provides clarity and certainty about the level of educational qualifications.
  • EQAVET – national coordination centre for quality assurance in secondary vocational education (MBO).
  • Euroguidance – national EU career knowledge hub for career policy and development.
  • Europass – national Europass consortium to promote the European portfolio for uniform educational qualifications.
  • Refernet – disseminates knowledge on vocational education from and to Europe.

Robbert: ‘For CINOP, it’s a nice challenge to map the connections between all these programmes at the Dutch and European level.’
